Join the BrainWare Safari! Come along, deep into the heart of a South American jungle, with Jackie Jaguar, Billy Bear, Patti Parrot or Moby Monkey – and watch them grow as your child develops his or her cognitive (mental processing) skills!

BrainWare Safari is designed so that each user has his or her own account.  This individualizes the program to maintain an appropriate level of challenge.

BrainWare Safari:

  • Is designed to develop 41 cognitive skills critical to learning;
  • Contains 168 progressively challenging levels across an array of jungle-themed exercises with animated characters that grow up as the user progresses through the program;
  • Uses specific methodologies to achieve specific results in a short amount of time;
  • Is founded in science and rooted in clinical experience;
  • Builds the skills that provide the foundation for accelerated learning;
  • Has been shown in a study to help children improve their cognitive skills on average by over 4 years in 11 weeks of use;
  • Has delivered positive results for students with learning deficiencies, as well as normal and gifted students;
  • Can be used at home or in an educational or clinical setting.

BrainWare Safari Study Outcomes

34 students in First through Seventh Grades at the Christian Heritage Academy in Northfield, Illinois, participated in a study of BrainWare Safari in early 2005. Half of the students used BrainWare Safari at home for 11 weeks. The other half of the students served as a control and simply fullowed their normal routines.

Outcomes, as measured by pre- and post-testing with the Woodcock-Johnson III Cognitive Battery, showed significant growth for the group using BrainWare Safari:

  • 4 years and 2 months average improvement in cognitive skills, compared to 4 months improvement for the control group.
  • 1 year and 11 months average improvement in tests of achievement (reading and math) compared to 1 month for the control group.

These results were consistent with earlier clinical experience with previous paper-and-pencil or partly computerized delivery of the methodology in BrainWare in a program called ACHIEVE. In the earlier clinical setting in Lisle, Illinois in 2001 and 2002, 30 students with case histories of learning and/or attention problems were provided with the ACHIEVE Processing Program.

Individual student progress was measured by pre- and post-test using selected tests from the Woodcock Johnson III Cognitive Battery and Tests of Achievement. The students experienced:

  • Average improvement in cognitive skills was 4 years and 8 months, following 11 weeks of the program.
  • The students’ improvement in IQ averaged 18 points and ranged from 10 to 27 points.
