T1: So What Is this Thing Called Accelerated Learning Anyway?
Charlotte LeHecka
What can you do in your classroom to create a desire to learn, and help students retain what they have learned over time? Accelerated Learning is a methodology that weaves all of the latest research on the brain, learning styles, learning modalities, multiple intelligences, the power of intention, music and the arts into a sophisticated whole that grabs and holds the attention of your learners. Come learn more about how all of these elements are woven together to create a tapestry of learning that is joy-filled and highly engaging—opening learners up to excel beyond their own imaginations.

T3: Working with ESL Students
Angeles Chavez
This presentation was designed with K-2, ESL and mainstream teachers in mind. As Educators, we are always looking for practical ways to motivate our students to succeed. We have an awesome task of not only helping our students meet all academic standards, but also teaching them the English language. With so much to teach and so much pressure to achieve, we often let the joy of learning slip by. I encourage teachers to bring magic back into our classrooms and inspire children with the joy the learning process.

Angeles Chavez
Angeles Chávez has more than twenty years’ experience in Accelerated Learning Methodology. Trained and certificated by Dr. Lozanov in Suggestopedia-disuggestopedia, she worked at the University of Houston for nine years where she developed a variety of language programs, including Spanish, French, Russian, Portuguese, Chinese, German, and English. She is the author of six textbooks, two children’s stories, and numerous suggestopedic textbooks.
Chávez acquired her teaching degree in elementary education in Motolinia, Mexico, and obtained her certification with a specialty in Montessori and Accelerated Learning. She has created and implemented training programs for many School Districts and businesses. Chávez has participated in different national and international forums, trained educators and corporations in the methodology, and has had her work featured in several prominent magazines here in the U.S.

T5: AID (Accelerated Instructional Design) for Trainers
Dave Meier
This session is built on the premise that traditional methods of course design are dead and should be scrapped. We can no longer take months to design a learning program but need do it in weeks, even hours. We not only have to upgrade how we design, but what we design -- activity-based programs that get exceptional results. In this hands-on session you will use The Accelerated Learning CourseBuilder with its 425 ideas for learning activities to create a complete lesson in 90 minutes or less. During this session you will: o Review the principles of accelerated learning as applied to corporate training. o Learn what the latest brain research has discovered about human learning. o Get steeped in the methods of Accelerated Instructional Design. o Walk away with a design or redesign of one or more of your programs. o Rediscover the fun of creating effective learning programs. o Gain a skill that will save you mountains of time throughout your career.
